The average price of new housing registers its greatest increase since 2007

The cost of new homes rose by 3.7% year-on-year and stood at 2,156 euros per square meter.

The average price of new housing has increased by 1.7% in provincial capitals during the first half of 2017 compared to the same period in 2016, to 2,156 euros per square meter, while in the last 12 months 3.7%. This increase in the interannual rate is the highest since the year 2007.

On the other hand, in cities that are not provincial capitals, the price stands at 1,560 euros per square meter, 0.3% more. This would be the case of localities of the Costa Blanca of Alicante, especially in the south, where it has been building for a long time, and there are promotions at a very affordable price.

The construction comes back.

The promoter activity has returned. Demand was previously focused on second-hand products and at present there are an estimated 64,000 new work visas. These data, apart from the numerous promotions started, especially in coastal areas, suggest that the new work is again a product taken into account, both for the national and international buyers.
