News: Torrevieja will have a second emergency communication station
Torrevieja has become the fifth largest city in the Valencian Community and it currently serves several towns nearby with its hospital, fire, ambulance and police services. For this reason, the need for a new communications centre will soon be covered, thanks to the meeting held by the mayor José Manuel Dolón and Manuel Cava, manager of the Telecommunications Service of the Directorate General of Information Technologies and Communications of the Generalitat Valenciana.
An expansion will be carried out in the Digital Mobile Communications Network and Security Emergency for Valencia (Red Comdes), while the new station will be located in one of the highest areas in Torrevieja, thus improving both the coverage and reliability of the system after it will become operational within a period of six months.
From the new site the teams in charge will have direct sight of the areas of La Mata, Ciudad Quesada, Los Balcones, Torrevieja south, the two city hospitals, and the police and fire facilities of Torrevieja.
This was certainly a necessary improvement in a city that is increasingly being chosen by many people of different nationalities for their holidays in Spain. However, we can also help you find your Spanish property in nearby areas such as Villamartin, La Zenia, Cabo Roig, Playa Flamenca and Campoamor.
