News: Costa Blanca rental prices rose by 6.3% in 2016
The price of rental housing in Alicante, Costa Blanca has climbed by 6.3% in the past 12 months, to stand at an average of 5.9 euros per square metre per month.
At the same time, the monthly price for square metre in the Comunidad Valenciana rose by 12.4% in 2016, currently settling at 6.2 euros.
Specifically, the average rental price grew 20.3% in the city of Valencia, representing the largest increase recorded by a Spanish capital, while the rise in the city of Castellón was 12.5% to stand at 5 euros per square metre.
Santa Pola in the Costa Blanca is one of the municipalities where rental prices have gone up the most, increasing by 10.5% year-on-year.
In the whole of Spain, the price of rental housing last year rose by 15.9%, which has left the square meter at 8.2 euros per month.
