News: Orihuela participated at the MedSea trade fair to promote water sports

The Orihuela Town Hall participated last weekend at the International Exhibition of Aquatic Activities "MedSea" which took place at the Institution Ferial Alicantina in Alicante.

As councillor for Tourism Sofía Álvarez explained, the purpose of this participation was to promote Orihuela Costa as a water sports destination, as this growing sector is becoming more and more demanded each day.

The MedSea fair gave visitors a chance to discover a wide range of activities and accessories for all kinds of water sports including snorkelling, diving, stand up paddle and kayaking.

Two free buses were made available from the Casino in Orihuela and from Playa Flamenca in Orihuela Costa last Saturday to residents wishing to attend the event.

Orihuela Costa will be hosting the Town Hall Trophy Regatta on August 13th this summer, the Levante Trophy Regatta on August 19th, the Valencian children's Optimist Regatta on October 22nd and 23rd, and the Open SUP Race at Playa de la Glea, Campoamor on September 17th.
