News: 75 teams participated in Torrevieja International Cup Youth Soccer Tournament

Torrevieja on the Costa Blanca hosted the Torrevieja International Cup 2018 Youth Soccer Tournament from 29th March to 1st April. This sports event combines soccer with sightseeing and fun and at the same time it encourages integration.

At a press conference, the Councilor for Sports, Víctor Ferrández reported that 75 teams from more than 30 clubs took part in the event, with around 1,400 players and more than 4,000 visitors in total.

The tournament was held at the municipal facilities of Torrevieja and San Miguel de Salinas. Around 150 matches were disputed in Torrevieja and another 30 in San Miguel.

Participating teams came from Madrid, Baleares, Castilla La Mancha, Comunidad Valenciana and even China.

Ferrández highlighted the economic impact of this competition as far as hotel stays and other facilities are concerned.
