News: Second-home buyers lead the way for Spanish property sales increase

According to the latest reports, the Spanish real estate market keeps consolidating its recovery with another year-on-year increase, especially on account of sales of second-hand property.

The level of activity in the Costa Blanca property market is now around 170 transactions per 100,000 inhabitants of purchasing age, while the national average is approximately 100 transactions.

As some sources report, Swedes are now the fifth biggest foreign buyers in the country, accounting for 6% of all foreign purchases. Foreign top buyers in Spain last year were British, comprising 14% of foreign purchases, French, 8% and Belgians, 7%.
