News: ​Warm weather keeps Costa Blanca beaches busy after heavy rains

Many people are taking advantage of the warm temperatures along the coast of Guardamar, Torrevieja, Orihuela Costa and Pilar de la Horadada with thermometers exceeding 20 degrees Celsius.

Residents and tourists are trying to make the most of the last days of 2016 sunbathing on the region´s beaches after the heavy storms the Costa Blanca endured this month.

Yet some of the beaches of Guardamar del Segura, Torrevieja, Orihuela Costa and Pilar de la Horadada still have not recovered from the scourge of the sea, the wind and the rain. The sand has been washed away in some areas but there are plans to repair the damage after the Christmas holidays.
