News: ​Free buses in Orihuela Costa on World Car Free Day

The Orihuela Councillor for the Environment, Miguel Ángel Fernández, has announced a series of activities to take place in celebration of World Car Free Day on 22nd September. The buses operated by the carriers Costa Azul and Sigüenza and running around the Orihuela Costa will be absolutely free to passengers this Thursday.

This initiative aims at raising awareness by promoting the use of public transport in order to reduce pollution levels more effectively, according to the councillor.

Also on Thursday, a bicycle circuit will be installed in the Glorieta Gabriel Miró in Orihuela with multiple activities in which people of different ages are invited to take part.

Miguel Ángel Fernández also took the opportunity to mention the fact that the Orihuela Town Hall is part of the Network of Cities for the Bicycle and it will adhere to the Intelligent Mobility Week as well.
