News: Costa Blanca is awarded Europe's best golf destination 2017

The Costa Blanca has been awarded the prestigious title of "European Golf Destination of the Year" in the IAGTO 2018 Awards, organized by the International Association of Golf Tour Operators (IAGTO). The prize was announced during the opening day of the International Golf Travel Market (IGTM) in Cannes (France), which it is considered the most important golf touring event in the world.

The award recognizes the activities developed by the Costa Blanca promoters regarding golf tourism, as well as the excellent service offered by local golf courses and hotels to international tour operators.

According to Francesc Colomer, Regional Secretary of Tourism of the Valencian Community, "The Costa Blanca has become an important golf destination thanks to its excellent air connections, weather, complementary offer and the quality of the golf courses designed by some of the most prestigious names in golf, such as Ballesteros, Nicklaus and Olazábal."
