Dehesa de Campoamor, not to be confused with Campoamor Golf Resort lies directly on the Southern Costa Blanca and is one of the oldest hamlets where growth has spread from. One interesting fact is how the naming of the area came about in the mid 1800's when a poet, Ramón de Campoamor, Governor of Alicante married a young Irish lady called Guillermina O' Gorman.
