Villamartin

Villamartin is an area about 3.5km from the Mediterranean coastline as the crow flies. The name Villamartin refers to the urbanisation of properties as well as the famous golf course. Access to the area is via the many modern road links from Alicante or Murcia airports and has become one of the most well-known areas in the Costa Blanca. In fact Villamartin is actually located in the municipality of Orihuela which itself is in the province of Alicante in the Valencian Community.

Over the years Villamartin has become a thriving community, popular with tourists and people living in the area full time. The area has grown to include some of the best facilities in the area for the tourist trade and this is very welcome for permanent residents as well. Villamartin Square or as its officially known Villamartin Plaza, offers a huge array of bars, restaurants, nightly entertainment and shopping. You will find virtually everything you need all in one convenient place. As there are a number of apartments and townhouses which surround the Plaza there is no need for a car or transport as everything is within an easy few minutes walk.

Villamartin Plaza is made up of a square of good quality apartments which are set within mature gardens and communal swimming pools. As you venture away from the Central Plaza you will find more apartments, townhouses and quad type properties for sale from developers and on the resale market. There are some lovely communities which comprise of older properties within mature gardens which feature streams and lighted walkways. Such places as Verdamar or Valencias are very popular.
